The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) is an independent authority created in 2018 to oversee and regulate the world-class free zones in Qatar, offering outstanding opportunities and benefits for businesses seeking to expand their global operations.
The QFZA team are dedicated to enabling our investors’ growth and help facilitate everything from establishment to customs to permitting. The Investor Portal allows our investors to access, request and monitor their service requests.
Organized as a fully-integrated step-by-step process, the QFZ investor on-boarding journey is set-up to get businesses operational as quickly as possible.
This is done in collaboration with QFZ’s business development and investor relations teams, in tandem with our regulations department.
QFZ’s business development team initiates the on-boarding process by supporting you on the completion of your:
Application inquiry and assessment
Property terms and solutions
Licensing of your business
The business development team will then hand over the pre-required registration forms—alongside confirmation of lease signing, license issuance, and compliance of regulations—for review, cueing our investor relations team to begin its ‘Handshake’ process:
Approved customer information
Business and work visas
Bank account set-up
Upon completion of the Handshake and receipt of building-permit approval, investor relations will provide a formal hand-over to the construction team, who will complete the final stage of the journey:
Building and environment permits
Customs and tax file
FM & 5G services
Once stages 1 – 3 are completed, QFZ will issue your certificate of completion!
