Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) participated in the virtual “Discover Global Markets” conference, which was hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, and took place in Indianapolis, USA, under the patronage of Mr. Wilbur Ross, the United States Secretary of Commerce. H.E. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, the Minister of State and Chairman of QFZA led the delegation that included the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and a number of senior officials from QFZA.

QFZA also participated in the virtual roundtable for the U.S. semiconductors’ industry, which was held on the conference sidelines, where H.E. the Minister of State and Chairman of QFZA delivered an opening speech to the representatives of the sector. The objective of holding the roundtable was to discuss aspects of cooperation between Qatar and major U.S. companies in the semiconductors industry. The virtual meeting was also attended by senior officials from QFZA and regulators of the semiconductors sector and representatives of U.S companies in the industry.
