The Authority

The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) is an independent authority created in 2018 to oversee and regulate the world-class free zones in Qatar, offering outstanding opportunities and benefits for businesses seeking to expand their global operations.

Investor Portal

The QFZ team are dedicated to enabling our investors’ growth and help facilitate everything from establishment to customs to permitting. The Investor Portal allows our investors to access, request and monitor their service requests.

Shanghai Delegation visits Free Zones

His Excellency Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Minister of State and Chairman of QFZA, hosted in his office an official delegation, led by H.E. Yin Yicui, Chairwoman of the Shanghai People’s Congress.

The delegation included senior representatives, including H.E. Zhou Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Qatar, Chen Jing, Secretary General of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress (SCSMPC), and heads of various leading Chinese companies.

The meeting focused on opportunities for co-operation between Qatar and China, as well as additional areas of potential collaboration between Qatar Free Zones, the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone and prominent Chinese investors, further supporting bilateral relations of both Qatari and Chinese investors.
