Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) received a delegation from Qatar University led by H.E. Dr. Hassan Al-Derham, President of the University, along with Vice Presidents, Deans and other members of the University. The delegation was received by H.E. Ahmad Al-Sayed, Minister of State and Chairman of QFZA, in the presence of several leaders from QFZA.

QFZA and the delegation discussed ways to strengthen cooperation, specifically in the field of R&D and innovation. The visit included presentations from QFZA and companies based in the free zones, including Google Cloud, Thales, Gaussin and others, to showcase their experiences. The visit also included an introductory tour of Ras Bufontas Free Zone and the Business & Innovation Park, as well as visits to some companies in the free zones, to showcase the advanced infrastructure and services offered to investors in Qatar Free Zones.
