Chairman Awarded Honorary Doctorate By Swansea University

Swansea University in Wales, UK, awarded H.E. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State, Chairman of Qatar Free Zone Authority (QFZA), an Honorary Doctorate on Thursday, 25th July, in recognition of his contribution to economic development around the world. The award was presented by Chancellor Dame Jean Thomas and the ceremony was attended by University delegates and members of His Excellency’s family.

On receiving the award, His Excellency said: “I am extremely grateful and honoured to have been awarded this Honorary Doctorate by Swansea University, and it is with the greatest pleasure that I accept it, not only for myself but on behalf of all those I have worked with.”

He added: “I regard it as a vote of support and recognition for our efforts in Qatar in promoting the highest standards of education in Qatar and worldwide, and to create a diversified and sustainable economy for the next generation.”
