The Qatar Economic Forum 2025 brought together a distinguished global audience of government leaders, CEOs, investors, and thought leaders to discuss the future of the global economy. In its participation this year, Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing global connectivity and bolstering resilient supply chains. QFZ actively engaged in high-level discussions, announced strategic partnerships, and showcased its role in driving economic growth and innovation within Qatar and the broader region.

A significant highlight of the forum was the announcement of a $1 billion incentive program in Qatar, aimed at accelerating investment inflows and diversifying the Qatari economy. The initiative features four tailored packages targeting advanced industries, logistics, technology, and financial services, thereby creating new opportunities for investors and reinforcing Qatar’s position as a hub for innovation and sustainable development.

QFZ also participated in a high-level panel titled that explored how geopolitical dynamics and rapid technological advancements are transforming global investment strategies and supply chain models. The discussion highlighted QFZ’s unique role in enabling agile, future-ready ecosystems that support diversification, innovation, and long-term economic resilience amid global uncertainty.

Strategic Partnership with Safran

On the sidelines of the forum, QFZ and Safran announced a strategic partnership to launch operations within Qatar’s free zones. As part of the collaboration, Safran will establish a regional hub dedicated to aerospace and defense innovation, with a particular focus on commercial and aircraft engine support services. The new facility will be fully integrated into Safran’s global network, further reinforcing Qatar’s position as a regional center of excellence for advanced aviation technologies and capabilities. This partnership reflects QFZ’s continued commitment to attracting leading global players and fostering high-value industries in support of Qatar’s long-term economic diversification goals.

Highlighting Qatar’s diverse investment landscape

QFZ, Invest Qatar, and Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) co-hosted an interactive workshop titled “Doing Business in Qatar,” offering international investors practical guidance on navigating the country’s business ecosystem. The session highlighted Qatar’s streamlined regulatory frameworks, sector-specific opportunities, and the complementary roles of QFZ, Invest Qatar, and QFC in facilitating market entry and long-term growth. Through direct engagement with key stakeholders, participants gained a clearer understanding of how Qatar supports innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable investment across diverse industries.
